ANGUS CHEMICAL INCREASES
AMP-95 CAPACITY
Angus Chemical will increase production
of AMP-95 (amino-2-methyl-1-
propanol), a multi-purpose additive
used in a variety of paint and coatings
formulations.
The increased volume will allow customers
to better take advantage of the
multi-functionality of AMP-95 for
waterborne, decorative paints, waterbased
industrial coatings and traditional
solvent-based paints. In these applications,
AMP-95 can serve as an effective
co-dispersant, emulsifier and neutralizing
amine, according to the company.
In addition, it contributes to pH
stability, low odor and in-can corrosion
resistance.
